About Us
Neuroscience, Early Intervention and Mental Health in Youth (NIMy)
NIMy is a group of researchers committed to addressing the relapsing and recurring nature of illnesses such as psychosis, bipolar disorder, and depression that affect youth. We use brain and behavioural markers to study mental illnesses. Our aim is to put neuroscience to clinical use for the benefit of patients and clinicians fighting mental illnesses. To this end, we focus on developing tools to improve clinical care, understanding
the mechanism behind altered mental states and establishing non-invasive treatment approaches to reduce the severity of mental illnesses among youth.
